Maintenance, Storage & Service Life

Replacement Interval: As a central wear part of the seawater cooling system, the impeller should be replaced annually as a precaution. Failure can lead to overheating and severe engine damage. For commercially or intensively used systems, shorter maintenance intervals may be required.
Dry Run Protection: It is mandatory to use the enclosed glycerin lubricant during installation to prevent friction damage (burn damage) upon initial startup.
Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place. Maximum storage time before first commissioning: 5 years.

Practical Tip: Always carry at least one spare kit in storage or on board for critical systems. Use an impeller puller for removal to avoid damaging the pump's bronze housing.
